Background

My journey to working at Davidson involved spending time in both academia and industry for several years, during which I was a Post-Doctoral Researcher in Sweden, an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Ohio University, a Research Scientist at CEM Corporation, and a Faculty Support Manager at Catalyst Education. Needless to say, I have a wide range of both professional and life experiences!

Throughout it all, I have always enjoyed teaching others about chemical concepts and how so much of our world can be explained through our understanding of chemistry. For these reasons, I am excited to be a part of the Davidson community.

My scientific background places a focus on synthetic inorganic chemistry with applications in photochemical and electrochemical transformations for alternative fuels production. Although I am not a Principal Investigator running a research laboratory here at Davidson, I will always have a scientific curiosity for utilizing light and electricity to manipulate matter.
