Chemistry at Davidson
The Chemistry Department provides an exceptionally rich learning environment for the study of this foundational science.
Faculty members, who are generous with their time and knowledge, teach all courses in the department and plan and facilitate all research.
The department focuses on providing students with individual attention, promoted through small lecture and lab classes taught by professors committed to one-on-one and small-group interactions.
Whether you are pursuing a major or just dipping your toe in a chemistry course, we have gathered all you need to know about planning your studies at Davidson.
The Chemistry Department is located in the E. Craig Wall Jr. Academic Center, a $74 million building that opened in fall 2016 and features teaching laboratory spaces, research labs for independent faculty research and student collaboration, shared faculty and student common areas, multiple learning environments for lectures, presentations, and group discussions, open forum space, and faculty offices.
