Davidson will host its annual fall Multicultural Visitation Program (MVP) in conjunction with Discover Davidson II, October 18-20, 2014. Davidson's MVP is designed to provide students from traditionally under-represented groups-- African American, Asian American, Hispanic, Native American, and College Access affiliated students--the opportunity to visit campus. Due to the brevity of the visit, international students or students living outside of the United States are not eligible for consideration. Only students who have not been on an official visit may be selected for the program.
Selected students will arrive Saturday afternoon and stay on campus with a current Davidson student for two nights. Visiting students will attend classes Monday morning and should plan to return home that afternoon. Davidson will cover the direct expenses associated with a visit to campus for each participant. This includes airfare to/from the student's home airport, ground transportation in Charlotte to/from campus, meals during the visit, and overnight accommodations.
To apply for the program, students must complete the following steps:
Priority deadline for application submission is Tuesday, Sept. 2. The final deadline is Monday, Sept. 15. The Admission Team will review submitted applications and notify students if additional information is required. Decisions will be communicated no later than Friday, Sept. 26.
Please know that space is limited. If a student accepts our invitation to visit and then cancels after air travel tickets have been purchased, the student and their family will be responsible for reimbursing the cost of the ticket.
Students should not register for Discover Davidson if they have been selected for the fly-in. Registration will be coordinated on their behalf.
Please contact Tammy Forthofer for additional information. We look forward to working with you.
