Employment and Recruitment
Basic responsibility for the determination of staffing needs and for authorizing the recruitment process for vacant positions rests with the President. Normally, the President will delegate responsibility for the actual search and recruitment process to the vice president for Academic Affairs for faculty positions and the director of Human Resources for staff positions. State and federal guidelines heavily regulate employment and recruitment issues.
