Fellows Program

The Davidson College Fellows Program was established to provide a variety of challenging opportunities to work in higher education.

As a participant, you may become a full-time employee in a number of key areas campus-wide, attend professional conferences, and take courses related to your employment.

Qualifications

To qualify for the program, you must be a current Davidson senior who will graduate in the spring or a recent graduate who has been out of school for no more than two years.

Positions

Fellows positions are generally for a one-year term classified as 40 hours per week.

Leave

As a participant, you are eligible for a total of 20 vacation (accrued at .77 days per pay period) and 12 sick days per year. Fellows are also eligible for up to 11 paid holidays each year. 

Training and Development

As a first-year Fellow, you are eligible for up to $500 in reimbursements for training and development. This benefit can be used to pay for attending a professional conference, or towards the cost of one course per semester at Davidson or another local college or university in a subject area related to the position held. If you wish to use this benefit you should submit receipts to our Human Resource Office for reimbursement approval.

Second-year Fellows are eligible for the standard employee tuition reimbursement, which provides tuition reimbursement for 100 percent of tuition, up to a maximum of $1,000 per course and up to $2,000 per fiscal year. Employee requests approval from supervisor for participation in the program by completing the Tuition Reimbursement Request Form (Kuali)

How to Apply

Available positions will be posted in the spring on the college's job website.

Only online applications will be considered. The hiring manager will review the applications of all candidates and determine those to be interviewed. Interviews are scheduled by the hiring manager. Notification letters advising that the position has been filled will be sent to applicants by either the hiring manager or Human Resources.
