Relocation and Moving Expense Policy
Davidson College recognizes that new employees selected as a result of a national or regional search may need assistance with moving expenses.
Policy

- Relocation assistance will be paid as a hiring bonus and will be taxable income to the employee under revised IRS guidelines.
- The relocation hiring bonus amount will be specified in the offer letter.
- New employees must live at least 50 miles from Davidson, NC to be eligible for this benefit.
- All relocation expenses must be billed directly to and paid by the College employee.
Davidson College recommends locally vetted Armstrong Relocation for moving services, however employees may choose any moving company they desire. Staff
Staff with starting annual salary between $40,000 and $64,999
Hiring Bonus equal to $1,000
Staff with starting annual salary of $65,000 or higher
Hiring Bonus equal to 4% of annual salary
Faculty
Visiting Professors
Hiring Bonus equal to 4% of annual salary
Tenured and Tenure Track
Hiring Bonus equal to 4% of annual salary
