Dean Rusk International Education Events
The Dean Rusk International Studies Program provides funding and other support for many internationally focused programs at Davidson College. Programming aims to increase campus and community awareness of current international events that are relevant to people around the world and to promote involvement by the Davidson community in global issues.
Dean Rusk sponsored events may be initiated by the John and Ruth McGee Director of the Dean Rusk International Studies Program, the International Education Committee, faculty, staff, the student-led Dean Rusk Global Corps, and/or other campus groups. Students inspire and organize many of our programs and their ideas are valued.

The Dean Rusk International Studies Programs partners with departments, programs, or individual faculty members to co-sponsor speakers and events that are internationally relevant and valuable to the college community. Dean Rusk support for these events will depend on the availability of funds and the amount of funding provided by other campus constituents.
Please use the following form to submit a co-sponsorship request.
Proposals for co-sponsorship will be reviewed on the first Monday of every month throughout the academic year or until funds have been allocated.

The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting is an award-winning non-profit journalism organization dedicated to supporting the independent international journalism. The Center focuses on high-quality global reporting.
Davidson College has been a partner with the Pulitzer Center since 2011. As part of that partnership, Davidson hosts two reporters from the Pulitzer Center each year—one in the fall semester and one in the spring semester. These reporters present lectures about their work covering national and international events and meet with students.
The Bank of America Lecture Series is an endowed series of lectures on international themes. Currently this series brings a major speaker to campus bi-annually. The theme for each visit is selected by a committee formed by the John and Ruth McGee Director of the Dean Rusk International Studies Program.
- When on campus, the speaker gives lectures, hold panel discussions, and join students and faculty for informal gatherings.
- The featured public lecture is open to members of the greater Davidson community.
