Human Subjects IRB Policy

Davidson College Human Subjects IRB Policy

The college affirms that human research subjects should be treated with dignity, respect, and with due regard for their welfare. To protect these values, Davidson established the Institutional Review Board (IRB).

The IRB reviews all research involving human subjects, conducted by the college's faculty, staff and students, for compliance with federal guidelines and ethical standards. The IRB has the authority to review and approve, require appropriate modifications to, or disapprove human subject research in accordance with 45 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 46 and Davidson College policy.
