Applying for Aid

Financial aid packages typically include a combination of grants, scholarships, and student employment. All students who wish to be considered for need-based financial aid must reapply each year.

Availability of the FAFSA

The 2024-2025 FAFSA is available and may still be submitted through the end of classes during the current academic year.

We envision that beginning in December 2024, the 2025-2026 FAFSA may become available.  We know some families faced struggles in completing last year's application, and Davidson will continue to be flexible with those facing technical difficulties in completing this application requirement.

Aid is generally renewable for four years, provided you meet Satisfactory Academic Progress and your financial and family circumstances remain the same.

The financial aid process can be an education within itself. Our financial aid team is committed to helping you navigate the process every step of the way. Get started by choosing what type of student you are:

Need-based financial aid is available to international students applying for admission under the early- and regular-decision plans, and we commit to meeting 100 percent of the calculated financial need for those admitted. Students must apply for aid at the time of applying for admission.

Warning

Late Applicants

Families who file aid application materials after the published deadlines are subject to a reduction in the college grant portion of the award. This grant reduction will be filled with a student loan offer of $3,500.
