James B. Duke Scholarship
Beginning with the Davidson College Class of 2025, each year, five students will be awarded the James B. Duke Scholarship of full tuition and fees. The award is renewable for the recipient’s remaining three years at Davidson, provided GPA, progress toward degree, and campus engagement requirements are met.
In keeping with the life of Mr. Duke, these high achieving students will demonstrate through their admission application and a required supplement that their academic achievement, concern for others, diverse talents and experience, potential for impact, resilience and work ethic give evidence of their capacity to make a difference in the world.
James B. Duke Scholars will be awarded full tuition and fees plus a $5,000 stipend to be used for applied, relevant learning experiences during their Davidson tenure. Duke Scholars will be offered guidance and mentoring by the program director.
